The Apprenticeship exhibition at Artisan

Artisan continues its work to promote craft and highlight issues facing craft practitioners with this important exhibition The Apprenticeship. This beautifully presented exhibition is both a celebration of individual stories of 13 artisans, and a reminder that there exists a diversity of creative practitioners that transform the world around them through craft. This exhibition provides a platform for discussing the challenges of learning crafts skills in today's marketplace, and to reveal how these artisans - representing traditional and contemporary craft including blacksmiths, furniture making and shoemaking, among others - have pioneered pathways to gaining their skills.

The exhibition runs until 24 June 2016 at Artisan, 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley Qld 4006
